Racing Blythe F.C. 6-a-side Football Competition Rules
Registration will be at 10:00. Report
to the tournament official and find your team captain!
Captains Team captains are responsible for ensuring
their team are pitch side and ready to play their games
at the appointed times.
Kit Team captains are responsible for ensuring that
there are no colour clashes between opposing teams. Sets
of bibs are available at each pitch. Captains must ensure
that the bibs are returned after each match so that the
next team to play may use them. All players must wear
shin guards
Substitutes Substitutions may be made at any time
on a roll-on roll-off basis. The departing player must
leave the pitch before the substitute enters.
Goals. A goal may be scored from any part of the pitch
outside of the goal area. This excludes own goals and
goals scored by a goalkeeper.
Duration of Play The group matches and semi-finals
will be 12 minutes duration. The Final will be 15 minutes.
There will be no half-time breaks. In the event of a draw
in a semi-final or the final, a penalty shoot out will
determine the winning team.
Penalty Shoot Out This will be 5 penalties per team
from a player who completed the game. If sudden death
is required, the goalkeepers and then substitutes shall
take a penalty.
Throw Ins to be taken with an underarm bowling action
only. The throw in will be awarded to the opposition if
the referee feels this rule has been infringed. Players
of opposing team must be at least 2 metres from where
the throw in is taken.
Free kicks All free kicks are direct. Players of offending
team must be at least 2 metres from the ball when the
kick is taken.
Corners are to be played into the field of play by
kicking the football
Goalkeepers must return the ball into play with an
underarm bowling action. A free kick 1 metre outside the
area will be awarded for an infringement of this rule.
Goalkeepers are not allowed outside their area. If a goalkeeper
deliberately touches the ball outside his/her area, a
penalty kick shall be awarded.
Goal Area Only the goalkeepers are allowed in the
area. If a defender enters his own area deliberately to
gain an advantage, then a penalty kick will be awarded
by the referee. If an attacker enters his opponents area,
the ball will be given to the goalkeeper who shall return
the ball into play in the normal way.
Overhead Rule No overhead rule.
Pass Back Rule The ball can only be passed back to
the goalkeeper a maximum of three times in succession
or it will be deemed as time wasting and a free kick will
be awarded against the offending team. The goalkeeper
must then pick the ball up and return it into play with
an underarm bowling action. Goal kicks from a pass back
are not permitted.
Points All games will be three points for a win and
one point for a draw. In the event of teams being equal
at the end of the group matches then the table will be
decided as follows:
1st goals scored
2nd goal difference
If still level, lots shall be drawn to determine who progresses
to the semi-final.
Sendings off: Any player receiving one yellow card in
two separate games will miss the next game. Any player
receiving two yellow cards in the same game will be given
a red card. Any player sent off in a match SHALL NOT take
any further part in the tournament.
